About the Artist

Artist/writer/poet Vic Maloney has been described by leading NSW Art Gallery Director, Colin Jones, as “The most unique and important Australian artist since Brett Whiteley, who’s just about to explode onto the national and international art stage”. Based in the strikingly diverse central New South Wales town of Cobar, Vic studied with Pro Hart and his paintings can be found in a variety of private collections around the world, including HRH The Prince of Wales and Hollywood director Steven Spielberg. He was a finalist in 2007’s Bald Archy prize in Sydney.
