About the Artist

Self-styled non-national, Ash Hempsall’s work has been shown in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Hong Kong, New York and Sydney with his most recent at 1918 Artspace in Shanghai.  Currently based in China where he is collaborating with artist Huang Xiao Kou, Ash’s commissions have included a large-scale mural featured in Tsui Hark’s Hong Kong classic movie “Time and Tide.
