About the Artist New Zealand-born artist Shaun Clark’s first time entry in the Archibald Prize in 2000, a portrait of actor Ruth Cracknell, was selected for Salon de Refuses and in 2001 he gained major national publicity with his portrait of pregnant actor Lisa McCune. He has sold several paintings through Raglan Gallery and Art Affairs, Sydney and has painted in-situ for charities including Sydney City Mission and Starlight Foundation as well as numerous major commissions for trompe l’oeil, murals and painting on canvas in New Zealand, Hong Kong and Australia. He is currently exhibiting as a finalist in the 2007 Doug Moran Portrait Prize which is touring Australia. |
