Humane Society International (HSI) is very pleased to announce the fourth annual international Design Against Fur! poster contest. Design students are asked to design a poster to show off their talents to win prize money and a trip to Europe. Last year's contest was a huge success for students around the world. You can view the winning entries at www.inFURmation.com. In the posters you'll see the amazing creativity and passion for animals that the competition ignited. It's this passion that will carry the message forward and make this world a better one for animals. This year the Design Against Fur! poster contest message is “Protect Seals”. The theme of the 2006 Design Against Fur poster competition is Canada's commercial seal hunt—the largest and most brutal slaughter of marine mammals on earth.
The Goal: "Awareness,
Public Outrage and Government legislation" Design students can register for the competition online today at http://infurmation.com/daf/2006/regform.html – students must register by 24th March 2006 with final designs submitted by 24th April 2006. The Australian winner will win $A1,000, second place $A500 and third place $A250. HSI will also be giving 25 certificates of recognition to entrants. We have added an extra prize for 2006 of $US1000 - “The People’s Choice Award”. Anyone with access to the web will be able to vote on-line for this winner. Good luck! The Australian winner will be judged along with the finalists from Europe, America, United Kingdom & Ireland and Canada. The overall winner will receive $US5,000 and a trip to a European capital for an awards celebration and the winner’s campaign will qualify for use by the Fur Free Alliance.
