Registration is now open for the 2010 Design Against Fur poster design competition – open to all design students in full time education from around the world. More information at: http://www.infurmation.com/daf/2010/index.php.
The aim is to produce an original, engaging poster with a conscience: to encourage compassion for animals killed for their fur and promote a pro-animal, anti-fur message.
More than 75 million animals are killed for their fur every year - the poster should clearly express the message that it is cruel and unnecessary to raise and kill beautiful, innocent animals for their fur.
Winning students in the European & International round will receive cash prizes and have their work promoted on international websites; winners will be automatically entered into both the international Grand Prize and People's Choice competitions, which judge the winners from all four regional rounds (China, Europe & International, Russia and UK & Ireland). In addition, up to 10 Specially Commended and 15 Commended certificates can be awarded – providing winning students with much coveted certificates for their portfolios.
The European & International round offers a 1st place cash prize of €700 euros.
Design Against Fur is an international student design competition supported by the Fur Free Alliance, representing more than 35 animal protection organisations from over 15 countries: http://www.infurmation.com
