Our members are always surprising us with the creative and fantastic efforts they make on behalf of the animals that are so important to them.  Here we highlight some of those very special efforts

City2 Surf Participants

Since 1971 Sydneysiders have been joined by participants from all over the world, elite athletes rubbing shoulders with locals to run, walk or watch the 14km race from Hyde Park in Sydney’s CBD to the finish at Bondi Beach.

Kristie Kent - Congratulations! Over $1000.00 raised on the day!

“The Day started from Ingleburn station and once we arrived at St James station it was on, the amount of people was incredible. As it was my first year I didn't know what to expect. The atmosphere though was amazing, to be a part of such a great day and be able to raise funds for a cause that I feel so passionately about was fantastic! ….”   read more here

Paul Vallis  - Congratulations! Over $500.00 raised on the day!

"I guess when it’s a good cause (imo) it’s worth putting oneself out a tad. I want to try and rustle up some funds for one of my favourite charities and this gives me the opportunity.

Some of you will have seen the harrowing 4 Corners expose of the Aussie cattle being slaughtered in Indonesian slaughter houses. It’s going on everywhere we send our cattle and sheep to but the terrible reports that regularly come back are conveniently swept under the carpet. There is a whole undercurrent of evil permeating this beautiful planet that most people aren’t even aware of."

Simon Duffy  -  Congratulations!  Almost $4000.00 raised on the day!

Don't Be Cruel Be Kind To Animals - Long term member Gail Browning hosted an event in May that raised over $400 to help protect orang-utans. She generously also shared some of the artwork generated on the day. We cannot say thank you enough.

Our new hero is 8 year old Lianna Stephens, who was so touched by the life and passing of Champa,  She not only donated her own Christmas and birthday money, she also set up a fundraising stand and brought in over $400.00!  The elephants at Agra are blessed to have such a good friend in Lianna!

A team of 11 cyclists bike 330 kms from Canberra to Sydney every year to raise funds in support of our Project Partner FNPF. The Riding for Rangas team raised over $5,000 to protect orang-utans.
