Say ‘No’ to the Fur Trade and sign our HSI 2012 Fur Free Supporter Pledge today!Over 50 million animals are cruelly treated and inhumanely killed for fur each year throughout the world, including up to 10 million domestic dogs and cats. Because China has no laws to protect animals from cruelty, it is of real concern that over the last decade China has become the biggest fur exporter in the world. Many companies are moving their operations to China to take advantage of the lack of regulations covering the way these animals live and die. With inadequate labelling laws in Australia, fur is often mislabelled, because importers are well aware that we wouldn’t choose to buy domestic cat or dog. Fur products on sale in Australia, even those labelled as faux fur, may contain real fur from someone’s beloved pet. The level of animal suffering is intolerable and if the demand stops, so will the trade. Take a stand against fur today by refusing to purchase or support such a barbaric trade. For more information on the Fur Trade follow the links below:
YOUR PLEDGE MESSAGETo: HSI 2012 Fur Free Campaign I proudly pledge not to buy or wear real fur or fur trim because I believe the inhumane treatment of animals and the cruelty of the fur trade is unjustified and has to stop.
Sincerely,
