Action Alerts - 2012

Action Alerts offer background facts on an issue in addition to a summary of the current problems, a list of names and addresses of people /groups to write to, and the most important points to cover in your letter.

Watch out for the deadlines for action alerts. If the deadline has passed, contact HSI to see if writing a letter is still important.

Writing letters is a very effective way of spreading the message about animal rights and conservation. By writing to newspapers, magazines, and other media, to politicians and to businesses, we can educate others and even influence policy.

Remember, if you do help HSI in this way, be sure to send our office a copy of the replies to your letters - our campaigners use them in their work.  For more information on general writing tips you can visit our Take Action from Home page
